Day 1: Arrival - Christchurch City
We will welcome you at Christchurch International Airport. There are two fixed waiting periods: around 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM. The guide will arrange pick-up and transfer to the hotel during these times. For arrivals after 5:00 PM, a Super Shuttle bus (English service) will be provided for shared transfer.
Day 2: Christchurch - Tekapo
Explore the "Garden City" of Christchurch after breakfast. Visit the Botanic Gardens, Cathedral Square, and Riverside Market. In the afternoon, travel across the Canterbury Plains towards Lake Tekapo, known for its glacial milky-blue waters. At night, enjoy the purest starry sky in the UN-certified Dark Sky Reserve.
Day 3: Tekapo - Mt Cook - Wanaka - Cromwell
Drive along State Highway 80 past the stunning Lake Pukaki. Arrive at Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, where you can hike the Hooker Valley Track or Tasman Glacier Track. Visit the Mt. Cook Alpine Salmon Farm to taste fresh salmon sashimi. Continue to Wanaka to see the famous "That Wanaka Tree" and explore the forest secret garden. Head to Cromwell in the evening. Enjoy a barrel-cooked BBQ dinner at The Stoaker Room.
Day 4: Cromwell - Arrowtown - Queenstown
Depart for Arrowtown, a historic gold-mining town with preserved 19th-century buildings and golden birch trees in autumn. Arrive in Queenstown in the afternoon. Take the Skyline Queenstown Gondola up Bob's Peak for panoramic views of Lake Wakatipu. Enjoy a buffet dinner at the Stratosfare Restaurant with spectacular views.
Day 5: Queenstown Free Day
Enjoy a full free day in Queenstown. Stroll by Lake Wakatipu, or choose from various optional activities (at your own expense) such as Skydiving, Milford Sound Day Tour, Target Shooting, TSS Earnslaw & Walter Peak Farm tour, Jet boating, or Paragliding.
Day 6: Queenstown - Dunedin - Oamaru
Travel east to Dunedin, a city known for its Scottish heritage and Victorian architecture. Continue along the coast to view the mysterious Moeraki Boulders. Arrive in Oamaru, the "Whitestone City", and watch the world's smallest penguins, the Blue Penguins, return to their colony at dusk.
Day 7: Oamaru - Christchurch - Auckland
Explore the Oamaru Historic Precinct, known for its 19th-century white limestone buildings, galleries, and cafes. Return to Christchurch in the afternoon and arrive at the airport around 4:00 PM. Fly to Auckland, where a driver-guide will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel.
Day 8: Auckland - Rotorua
Depart Auckland and travel through the Waikato region. Visit the Waitomo Glowworm Caves to see the spectacular underground stalactites and the starry glowworm canopy via a boat ride. Take a walk at the Blue Springs, known for its incredibly pure and clear blue water. Head to Rotorua, the center of geothermal activity and Mฤori culture.
Day 9: Rotorua - Taupo - Rotorua
Head to the Taupล region to visit Lake Taupล, New Zealand's largest freshwater lake. See the unique McDonald's Taupล housed in a decommissioned DC-3 plane. Witness the powerful Huka Falls and enjoy a scenic walk along the Huka Falls Walkway. Return to Rotorua after the tour.
Day 10: Rotorua - Auckland
Enjoy a morning walk in the Whakarewarewa Redwoods Forest. Next, visit the Hobbiton Movie Set for a guided tour of the iconic Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit filming locations (If unavailable, the Agrodome farm experience will be the alternative). Return to Auckland and arrive at Auckland International Airport around 4:30 PM to conclude the tour.
